Why we picked it
Nobody is going to put the hand cream away every night. Open storage accepts that and just gives the clutter an edge to sit inside, which is enough to make a counter look ordered rather than covered. Rattan is the right material for it because it deepens in color over the years rather than scuffing, and hand-weaving means the pattern isn't perfectly regular. Two sizes also means it still works in a small bathroom.
Styling notes
Nest them when the counter is clear and split them when it isn't. The larger one is a good vanity corral for a candle, hand cream and a small stone dish; the smaller one tends to wander off to a bedside table for a glass and reading glasses, or a coffee table for the remote. Keep it a hand's width back from the tap. Rattan copes with a bit of steam but not with sitting in a puddle, and the honey color only improves if you keep it dry.
