Why we picked it
Candles need you to be there. A diffuser doesn't, and that's the whole argument for owning one. This pair covers two rooms for about three months on a single fill, with nothing to light and nothing to remember to blow out. The scent is deliberately restrained: you catch it walking through the door and then stop noticing it, which is the correct behaviour for something running all day.
Styling notes
Don't put both bottles in the same room. Split them, one in a bathroom and one by the front door, and the whole flat picks up a low background scent instead of one corner being noticeably floral. The clear glass and pale reeds are quiet enough to sit anywhere, including the places a candle would make you nervous. Keep them away from radiators and draughts, since moving air pulls the oil through the reeds much faster and you'll lose weeks. Flip the reeds when you want it stronger.
