Why we picked it
Woody candles usually go one of two ways: sharp and aftershave-ish, or so heavy they give you a headache in a small room. This one lands closer to a wood-panelled bar, warm rather than sweet, with just enough lavender to keep the oak from turning dusty. Three wicks are the practical part. They melt the wax evenly across a wide jar, so you get real scent throw instead of a hot column down the middle.
Styling notes
Give it room to work. A console, a mantel or the middle of a coffee table lets the scent move; a candle tucked behind a stack of books mostly perfumes the books. The matte black jar was clearly designed to be ignored, which is useful, and it sits well against dark wood and warm metals whether or not it's lit. The first burn is the one that matters: leave it going until the wax has melted right out to the edges, because that's what stops it tunnelling for the rest of its life.
