Why we picked it
Rental bathrooms almost always have three different metals on the walls, usually because each piece was replaced separately over fifteen years. It's the mismatch, more than the age of anything, that makes the room look neglected. Styling notes
Height does most of the work. The towel bar wants to sit roughly a third of the way up the wall, the ring goes next to the basin where a wet hand can reach it, and the hook belongs wherever a dressing gown already gets thrown. Black against pale towels and a white basin works the way a dark frame works around a print: the contrast is what makes the room look considered. Commit to one finish throughout. A single leftover chrome fitting on the opposite wall will undo the whole thing.
