Why we picked it
Flax linen is one of the few textiles that genuinely improves with age. It starts a little crisp, softens with every wash, and holds its color long after cotton has gone tired. Because each piece is made by hand, the weave and tone shift slightly between them, which is what real fibre does and printed polyester never manages. A runner is also the cheapest way to make a table look set without owning a tablecloth.
Styling notes
Use it on ordinary days, not just when people are coming. Bare wood with a linen runner down the middle already looks like someone thought about it, and it takes ten seconds. If the dining table is permanently covered in laptops, it works just as well along a console or a dresser. Don't press it flat. Crisp, ironed linen looks stiff and slightly formal, whereas a relaxed crease looks like the fibre it actually is. Machine wash cool, hang it to dry, and leave the iron in the cupboard.
